Manager, Scientific Support
Job Description Summary
The Manager, Scientific Support oversees team members and processes to deliver services, and develop and implement tools to ensure customers achieve the most value from STEMCELL products. Working collaboratively with leaders and team members, the job proactively evaluates scope, budget, and strategic importance to effectively plan and administer the required management activities for product and scientific support.Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, coach, develop and evaluate direct reports comprising of a regional team, through regular one-on-one and team meetings; set team goals, conduct performance reviews; make compensation recommendations.
Manage the daily activities of a product and scientific support team which may involve multiple functions within the business unit.
Establish and lead the achievement of annual goals for a team. Lead the development of "bottom-up" strategic plans to drive the annual goals and deliverables for product and scientific support programs to maximize customer satisfaction.
Lead projects to improve the processes, resources, content, and metrics within the related business unit.
Contribute to cross-departmental and/or external projects to achieve "top-down" departmental goals from the conception, design, budget, implementation, change management, and review.
Liaise between customers, Sales, R&D, QA, and Product Management teams to maintain compliance with STEMCELL’s product quality assurance standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, with 5 to 10 years' experience in Life Sciences.
Leadership experience, and a proven ability to guide the team towards a common vision/set of objectives.
Knowledge of product portfolio and programs under the remit of the function.
Experience with project or program management.
