Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Manager of Regional Sales is responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, coaching and leading a team of Sales Representatives in order to achieve revenue targets in an assigned region.The Manager, Regional Sales is responsible for the creation and optimization of territories, as well as allocation of personnel in order to maximize sales performance in a given region.
This role is responsible for Sales Rep performance evaluation through the monitoring of established Sales KPIs, and through regular 1-on-1 meetings and quarterly/yearly performance evaluations.
Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist direct reports in the development and implementation of account- and territory-specific strategies to meet quarterly and annual revenue and corporate goals by providing scientific sales and product expertise, knowledge of Company programs and processes, and Sales department programs, processes and best practices.
Lead, manage, coach, develop and evaluate direct reports through regular one-on-one and team meetings and by regularly accompanying individual team members on sales calls.
Conduct and document performance reviews (quarterly goals and annual reviews) and make compensation recommendations for direct reports in accordance with Company policies and practices.
Assess and evaluate training and development needs of direct reports; ensure training and development needs are met within department plans and budgets.
Recruit, hire, train and mentor new employees. Communicate field-based market intelligence back to the senior leadership team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of sales or research experience or MSc / PhD with 2-4 years of relevant sales experience
Practical experience and knowledge in leading teams and tactical processes
Individual Contributor:
Advanced-level knowledge and skills in the area of expertise, including products, processes, practices, approaches, and technical concepts
Competency in the scientific concepts appropriate to customer groups for a wide range of STEMCELL products or similar
