Job Description Summary
The Director, Field Sales establishes and leads the achievement of annual goals and strategic plan with a 2-3 year time horizon, in alignment with the Global Sales strategic vision and corporate goals.Job Description
Roles & Responsibilites:
Contribute to the development of goals for the department; provide critical input to planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.) to align with long-term corporate vision
Collaborate with global Sales management to set the global sales strategy for respective product family / market.
Oversee the development of a market/region and achievement of corresponding sales revenue targets
Manage the budget for the job area and / or elements of the departmental budget
Lead, coach, and motivate direct team members to surpass revenue targets for their assigned region/sector
Participate in recruiting, onboarding / training of direct and indirect reports
Communicate with managers and direct reports on strategic and corporate initiatives as well as effectively communicating needs and strategies cross departmentally
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 5 to 10 years' sales experience
Extensive leadership experience to lead teams in one department
Expert-level knowledge and skills within relevant technical area or professional discipline, with a basic understanding of related areas
Scientific mastery of STEMCELL products in multiple relevant portfolios or similar
Knowledge of organizational model & capabilities, and global distribution systems and regulations
Knowledge of the business fundamentals of the industry environment within which STEMCELL operates
