Associate Accountant
Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, Asia Pacific, the Associate Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, and operational efficiency for STEMCELL China. This role is responsible for processing daily finance operational issues while providing essential administrative and analytical support to the broader finance team.Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Processing vendor payments and monthly staff reimbursements:
- Support China weekly vendor payment process by validating and verifying all necessary documents
- Verifying and validating staff reimbursement
- Expense posting in SAP
- New staff onboard training on China expense policy
VAT invoices verification and e-fapiao management
- Weekly VAT invoices issuance
- Monthly VAT invoices verification
- Liaison with tax officer on e-fapiao related issues
Managing Accounts Receivable
- Send weekly and monthly AR report
- Daily AR settlement
- Credit limit maintenance
- Work closely with cross department (CS and Sales)
Others
- Work as a backup for other team member (Accountant)
- Support APAC (Singapore and Australia) as instructed
- Support on annual audit cycle for both China and HQ
- Assist on potential finance projects if any
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by finance manager
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in accounting & finance or related field
- 0-2 of past accounting experience, understanding and application of China GAAP
- Requires a flexible schedule to meet critical financial deadlines, particularly during month-end and year-end closing periods.
- Experience with SAP equivalent will be a good plus
- Effective communication in both English and Chinese
- Good personality and detail oriented
- Problem solving skills and strong sense of responsibility
- Passion for continuous learning and changes
- Proficient in excel skills and basic sense of data analysis
- Maintains a clam, professional demeanor and fosters positive workplace communication
